Clean technologies refer to
all types of innovations and creations that are linked to responsible, social
and environmental issues. Also called eco –innovation, these products and
services aim at reducing or avoiding the impact of humans on the planet Earth.
In fact, eco-innovation is
an important concept. It deals with processes, management, products and
services, social behaviors that are working to reduce pollution, avoiding the
destruction of animal life and lush vegetation, and of course keeping the
planet safe for the next generations.
Moreover, clean technologies
deal with the use of resources and always with a long term vision. Besides,
clean technologies are closely implicated with research and development that
are studying resources, their use, and their availability.
As companies invest a lot in research and development,
many innovations can pop up and help wealth creation for the entire society.
According to the current
issues, some themes are put forward every year to encourage companies and
people to have a look at different subjects linked to eco innovation.
For instance, in 2009, material recycling, building
construction and smart purchasing were in the news.
